Lists with This Book. Jun 16, Ferdy rated it did not like it. By far the llisa problem I had with this book was the idiocy that is Frannie Cavanaugh.
Frannie is a self pitying, dull, pathetic idiot. She blames herself for every little thing. She acts like Luc is an innocent child and blames herself for putting him in the middle of the war between heaven and hell. Frannie liisa has no common sense whatsoever, knowing that demons are after her and that she rihe the rest of humanity are in danger, she says nothing when she sees her demon brother in her bedroom.
Frannie was truly sickening. How does it make any sense that the dumbest dumbo that ever was, is the intermediary between heaven and hell A good author can create a swoon-worthy love interest without resorting to cheap measures, just look at Tod in the Soul Screamers series, Terrible in the Downside Ghosts series or Desrichers and Lucas from the Women of the Otherworld series.
On a different note, Luc’s constant use of the words unholy hell bugged lst no end, I hate when characters use repetitive phrases. Luc and Frannie have zero chemistry or charm. I actually wanted Faith to end dewrochers with Gabe or Luc, she had more personality and charisma than Frannie.
I was disappointed that Gabe thought so little of Faith after she sacrificed herself for him, she deserved a better lida than she got. God help us all if she does.

So there were numerous reasons why I didn’t like this final book. I never thought I would give this book a three star–well here you go. In this whole series, Gabe has been my favorite. I fell in love with him the second he came into the picture, and this book ruined everything, every love or lust I had for this character.
His relationship with Frannie meant more to me than Luc ever did–and Lisa Desrochers blew this up in my face. Ever since the first book, Frannie has been in love with Luc way So there were numerous reasons why I didn’t like this final book. Ever since the first book, Frannie has been in love with Luc way more than Gabe. Only problem was, Luc was a demon and Gabe was an angel. And I have the hots for angels.
But then Luc falls deeply in love with her YAK! I figured the whole thing desrocuers be with Luc in the end but this book bothered me beyond belief. Lucifer is trying to convince Frannie to get God to allow him back into Heaven after ddesrochers and thousands of years. Did I believe this? Was I stupid to?
Lots of wishful thinking. And now, Frannie’s human-turned-guardian-angel-turned-demon brother, Matt, has totally and completelty evil, and that was never supposed to happen in my opinion. So in the end, what happened?

And when Gabe realizes that Matt traded in Frannie, he goes and beats this sh! And Gabe was all bloodied, and beaten as well, and Gabe was my hero until I found out what he was turning into. And you know what that is?
And now, my whole picture is ruined. And he needs to keep his wings. This was what disappointed me the most. I figured even if she doesn’t get to be with Gabe and ends up with Luc, I thought they’d make a way for all of them to be happy. May 21, Marie rated it really liked it. Gabe is just so damn cute not too mention hot, loveable, sweet, funny Well you get the picture!!
I can’t believe what happened to him there at the end!! He changed for the best throughut all these books and you watch him get to grips with all of these new emotions and experiences and he ends up fit back to where he was at the beginning!
Wow yeah brilliant ending though-not perfect- but yeah. We finally get to see some ‘magic? Everything is kinda revealed and all unanswered questions were finally answered.
Good ending-but brilliant series. Sad to see ear story end. It could definitley have gone in for another book or two! View all 5 comments. And yes, he still spelled t-r-o-u-b-l-e. Oh no, Frannie, you are mature and apprehensive and fiercely protective of the ones you love.
Last Rite (Personal Demons, #3) by Lisa Desrochers
And Mundie Moms have to love that. When all Hell, literally breaks loose, you hold your own. Okay quick aside, kiddo. I know why you love him — his protection and safety okay, and hotness made me understand the sacrifice he made to stay with you. He spells trouble in an entirely different way. I desorchers a long list, trust me on this, and he remains near the top. He was untrustworthy and seductive and OMHeavens funny. Yes, in the middle of a holy-heck-what-is-going-to-happen-here scene, I found myself giggling out loud.
Be sure to tell Lisa that part because her comic timing was pitch-perfect. Frannie, may I mention your family? I only have one question left — who was the better kisser, Luc or Gabe? Oh, never mind, I think a little demon may have whispered the answer in my ear. If you love angel-demon mythology and I know you dogo pick up the Personal Desrohers series.
