Also, I know this is a stretch Perhaps you can order one rugwr Ruger and remove the spur yourself with a Dremel? IIRC, it might need minor fitting or maybe it would drop in.
Just a thought, hope it helps and doesn’t cause you grief in any way should you try it. On a Security Six I used to own, the hammer seemed like a kind of generic part, in and of itself a separate part.

Please remember to send me your email address so I can send the attachments. I can’t do that via PM. I followed the IBOK steps myself this past week. I polished all that was indicated to be polished and I put in a 10lb Wolff hammer spring and an 8lb Wolff trigger return spring in my SP mag.
It was probably much greater than this but the fish scale only went to 12 lb. The SA trigger pull was about 5. I haven’t test fired the gun yet after doing the work. It is around 12 degrees here so it may be a while too. I want to make sure I won’t be getting any light strikes.
That may be a spring project for me.
I’ve looked for others unsuccessfully. If any of you have them, please email me a copy.
