The third, Borders of Infinity, we have a futuristic p. I love Bujold’s mastery of information-flow, in this story.

The pilot was expecting such turbulence that the beverage service was canceled and the seatbelt light was never extinguished, but if there were any bumps I didn’t notice them. I enjoyed all three of the novellas in the collection a lot. It starts strangely with Miles been thrown into prison, but it quickly unravels into this engaging story.
Though Bujold never falls into excessive gruesomeness, it still wasn’t my kind of story. Following the resounding success of my Locus QuestI faced a dilemma: Quotes from The Borders of In My favorite bits of “Labyrinth” are the heist elements “The Mountains of Mourning” is one of the best works in the Vorkosigan series. The main plot is basically a whodunit, involving Miles being clever and making some nice statements about disability and byjold, but my favourite part of the story were the scenes where Miles mourned his grandfather Piotr, and the ones involving horses — not an obvious link, but if you recall from the epilogue of Barrayarhorses were the basis of building a relationship for Piotr and little Miles.

An enjoyable little novella although it doesn’t add lf vast amount to the existing canon of the Vorkosigan saga. You don’t have to know anything much about Miles’s past to make sense of blrders present and there are only a few oblique references to external events, the missing of which wouldn’t diminish the story, in my opinion.
